Browser-local tools

Tools marked as local process input inside your browser rather than transmitting it to our servers. Your input is not intentionally sent to Security Toolbox servers for these tools.

Avoid entering passwords, private keys, active access tokens, or other sensitive information into any website unless you understand and accept the associated risk.

Network security checks

Some tools, including website, TLS, and DNS-related checks, require server-side processing. When you use these tools, the submitted hostname, domain, address, port, and related technical request information may be processed by our backend infrastructure to perform the requested operation.

Limited information about these requests may also appear in operational logs for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, rate limiting, and service reliability.

Operational logs

We may collect limited technical information such as IP address, user agent, request time, requested endpoint, error details, and rate-limit or security events.

We aim to retain operational logs only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Analytics

Security Toolbox uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve the service. Analytics is enabled only when you choose to allow analytics through the privacy preferences.

Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, interaction events, and approximate technical information about your browser or device.

You can change your analytics preference at any time using the Privacy preferences link available on the site.

Advertising

Security Toolbox does not currently display third-party advertising. Advertising may be introduced in the future.

If advertising technologies that require additional disclosures or consent are introduced, this policy and the applicable privacy controls will be updated.

Support and external services

Security Toolbox may provide links to third-party services such as Ko-fi and Trakteer for optional financial support.

Payments and related information are processed by those providers under their own terms and privacy policies. Security Toolbox does not directly collect payment card information through these links.

Cookies and local storage

Security Toolbox may use cookies or browser storage for essential site functionality and to remember privacy preferences.

Analytics-related technologies are used only when analytics consent has been granted.

Third-party infrastructure

Security Toolbox relies on infrastructure and service providers to deliver the website and network-based tools. Those providers may process limited technical information as necessary to provide, secure, and operate their services.
